Dear Nancy and Laura,

Thank you for bringing this important issue to my attention and providing suggestions on addressing major threats to our Florida panther population.  I was out of town last week, but was sadden to learn of the demise of another panther killed on our roads.

Let me assure you that I will be happy to bring this issue forward under Commissioners Item at the upcoming Board meeting and request our staff to review your suggestions and come back to the BoCC at a Management and Planning Workshop in the Fall on what we are currently doing and can do in this area to protect the Florida Panther.
